Volunteering is a great way of taking a break from your studies, building your skills and network and gaining real experience to show you have gone the extra mile for when you complete your studies and move on to the world of work.

There are many ways in which you can support Fresh Start alongside your studies.

Become a Fresh Start Student Ambassador: raise awareness with your fellow students and wider community about the work of Fresh Start. We want to work with students who are looking for an autonomous programme where they will be supported to lead and find new ways to support Fresh Start's work across Edinburgh - Learn more here. 

Donate your second hand accommodation goods: not sure what do with all your stuff when you leave halls? Too much to take home on the train? Don’t let it go to waste! Coordinate a Starter Pack collection at the end of term or throughout the year. Fresh Start will then collect these from halls and make sure they go on to help set up someone’s new home. Fundraise for Fresh Start: funds ensure we can continue to operate our much needed services - every little helps. You can fundraise by holding a bake sale, a gaming night, or go big and get sponsored to complete a new challenge!  Check out some great ideas here to inspire you!
