Volunteering is a great way of taking a break from your studies, building your skills and network and gaining real experience to show you have gone the extra mile for when you complete your studies and move on to the world of work.

There are many ways in which you can support Fresh Start alongside your studies.

Become a student ambassador – raise awareness with your fellow students about the work of Fresh Start. We need committed individuals who can spread the word about our work and involve societies in supporting us.

Accommodation donations – not sure what do with all your stuff when you leave halls? Too much to take home on the train? Don’t let it go to waste! We need Student Ambassadors to coordinate starter pack collections at the end of term and throughout the year. Fresh Start will then collect these from halls and make sure they go on to help set up someone’s new home.

Fundraise – Fresh Start needs vital funds to continue to operate its much needed services and every little helps. You can fundraise by holding a bake sale, a gaming night, or go big and get sponsored to complete a new challenge!  Check out some great ideas here to inspire you!
