Getting involved to support a charity is a great way for schools to engage with their local communities and support those most in need. We have opportunities to support Fresh Start for all age groups!

Become a Student Ambassador: Raise awareness with your fellow students, family and community about the work of Fresh Start. Find out more about our Student Ambassador Programme and how you can get involved here.

Primary Schools: Consider running a collection of goods to support Fresh Start's vital services, like our Starter Packs and our Community Pantry. It’s a great way of getting parents and carers to engage with the school at any time of year while helping the local community. We can assist you in collections and are happy to visit your school to talk about the important work that we do - contact us for more information.

Fundraising Events: Organise a sponsored walk, a sponsored video gaming evening, a bake sale, or get friends and family involved to raise vital funds for our services. Get some inspiration here! 

YPI: Many schools run the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) project, empowering young people to make a difference in their communities while developing a range of skills. This is a great way of raising awareness of Fresh Start’s work and potentially securing £3,000 of funds for Fresh Start if your group is chosen in the final. Duke of Edinburgh (16 years+): As part of completing your award, you can volunteer in Fresh Start’s services - visit the DoE website here for more information.
