PAT Testing

PAT testing (portable appliance testing) is the testing of electrical items to ensure that they are safe to use, and it is an important health and safety consideration for all organisations, business and private landlords.

Fresh Start's PAT testing business operates as a social enterprise, meaning all profits are fed back into the work of Fresh Start.

By choosing Fresh Start to carry out your electrical testing, you are directly supporting those who have experienced homelessness make a home for themselves. You are also assisting us in continuing to fight poverty in the local community and offer practical and emotional support to those affected by homelessness.

Our PAT Testers carry out a nine point safety check on all appliances and are regulated by SELECT, the trade association for the electrical contracting industry in Scotland.

We operate throughout Scotland and are an approved member of Edinburgh Trusted Trader.

A full report and certificate is issued for all work carried out
