  • Flying Scotsman sportive - 78 miles
  • Loch Ness marathon - 26.2 miles
  • Glasgow half marathon - 13.1 miles
  • Total mileage - 283.7 miles

We are delighted Jamie has chosen to put such a huge effort into fundraising for Fresh Start to help people who are rebuilding their lives after the devastation of homelessness. Here's what he had to say about the Edinburgh Marathon, which he completed just 4 weeks after the Belfast Marathon at the beginning of May:

"Running two marathons in a month meant a quick turn around as I balanced recovery from Belfast and preparation for Edinburgh. The weather was great in Edinburgh for the 26.2 mile run, cool but dry, and the wind was at my back until the turning point at mile 18. I started out slower than I had done in Belfast and the more conservative pacing left me with the energy to finish in a much more comfortable condition. I crossed the line in 3 hours and 42 minutes and can now look forward to next Saturday's 72 mile Bethany Sportive race which will be my first bicycle race of the year."

We wish Jamie all the best in his future events and ask our supporters to please give generously to his JustGiving page - .
