The 'Hit Squad' is a team of volunteers who provide a
painting and decorating service. This service is available to new tenants
who have been homeless and are receiving ongoing support from a recognised
agency.
The
'Hit Squad' works alongside the new tenant to decorate up to two rooms in
their home and
help with small DIY jobs. The tenant gets to choose their colour
scheme with all paint and equipment provided by Fresh Start.
This is an invaluable service as it helps to make the new
tenant feel more comfortable in their home and hopefully use their new
decorating skills to paint more rooms. Over the last few years we have
consistently seen people sustain their tenancy with the help of our
intervention.
Fresh Startonly accepts referrals from
agencies providing ongoing support.
