Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is a series of safety and function tests, which are carried out on electrical appliances to ensure that they are safe for use. 

Fresh Start offers a comprehensive PAT testing service to employers, organisations and charity shops.  The PAT testing service provides you with the assurance that your electrical equipment is safe for use and that your organisation meets current Health & Safety regulations and insurance requirements.

Fresh Start is approved by SELECT, Scotland's Electrical Trade Association; all work is carried out by qualified and experienced personnel.  The PAT testing service is run in conjunction with our Training Initiative which creates training and job opportunities for young people who have been homeless.
